PINEAPPLE PASTRY (ANANASZ PITE) 
2 c. flour
4 tbsp. powdered sugar
1/2 lb. butter
1/8 tsp. baking soda
2 whole eggs
1/8 tsp. salt

FILLING:

1 c. crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch

Put all filling ingredients in pan and stir until thickened and clear. Put aside to cool.

Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Cut in butter and work like pie dough. Flour board and knead divide dough into 2 parts. Roll out the first half and line the bottom of 9 x 12 pan. Make sure dough lines to the edges of the pan. Spread filling on the dough. Roll out the last half of dough and cover filling. Pierce top of dough occasionally with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and when cooled cut into triangles and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
