THICK VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
1 can (1 lb. 13 oz.) tomatoes
2 c. chopped onions
2 c. sliced potatoes
1 1/2 c. sliced carrots
1/2 c. celery (diced)
1/2 c. uncooked rice
2 tsp. salt
3 c. water

Brown beef. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour. 6 servings.
