WHOLE WHEAT ROLLS 
1 qt. + 1/2 c. hot water
3 tbsp. salt
12 eggs
2 1/2 c. warm water (110 degrees)
1 1/2 pts. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1/3 c. active dry yeast
3 qts. white flour
1 c. nonfat dry milk

1. Mix together in mixer or large bowl the hot water, brown sugar, salt, shortening and eggs.

2. Combine yeast and warm water. Blend well and add to first mixture.

3. Mix together white flour, whole wheat flour and nonfat dry milk. Add to yeast mixture and mix well.

4. Turn into greased bowl; grease top of bowl. Cover and let rise until double (1 1/2 hours).

5. Pinch into rolls; place on greased baking sheets. Cover and let rise until double.

6. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-25 minutes. Brush with melted butter. Serve warm.
