SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
3 scant c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
6 eggs
3 c. sifted cake flour
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. Sift flour and soda three times. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt to egg whites and beat until they form a peak. Add remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and vanilla to well creamed butter and sugar. Add one egg yolk at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and soda alternately with sour cream. Fold in beaten egg whites. Turn into tube pan and bake 1 hour or until done at 350 degrees.
