1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk (1 c. milk + 1 tbsp. vinegar)
2/3 c. cocoa
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and sour milk. Mix dry ingredients and add. Grease and flour cookie sheet. Drop by tablespoon onto sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Fill cookies after they cool.

FILLING:

1 c. milk
4 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
