PEANUT BUTTER PIE 
1 9" pie shell, baked
1/2 c. peanut butter
2/3 c. 10X sugar
2/3 c. granulated sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. scalded milk
3 eggs, separated
1 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Blend peanut butter and 10X sugar until mealy. Sprinkle 2/3 mixture on bottom of baked pie shell. Combine the beaten egg yolks, salt, cornstarch and sugar; stir into scalded milk. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add vanilla and butter; cool slightly. Pour into pie shell and top with meringue. Sprinkle remaining peanut mixture on top of meringue. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Meringue: Beat 3 whites with 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar and 6 tablespoons sugar until stiff and glossy.
