WHOOPIE PIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
5 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Sift dry ingredients together and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix by hand until smooth and well blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes until set but not crisp.

CREAM FILLING:

5 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook flour and milk until thick; cool. Cream remaining ingredients together until light, about 15 minutes. Add cooled mixture a small spoonful at a time. Whip until like whipped cream. Refrigerate. Use spoonful between 2 cookies.
