SCANDINAVIAN COOKIES | |
1/4 c. light brown sugar 1/2 c. butter Yolk of 1 egg 1 c. sifted flour White of 1 egg, slightly beaten 1/2 c. chopped nuts jelly Mix the ingredients in the order given form the dough into little balls (size of walnut). Roll these balls slightly beaten egg white and then in chopped walnuts. Place the balls on a greased cookie sheet and in each one press a little hallow. Bake 15 to 18 minutes at 350 degrees. Cook the cookies and before serving, drop jelly into the center depressions. These are very delicious, and especially colorful during the holiday season filled with red and green jelly. |
