1/2 c. sugar
2 egg yolks (save whites for top)
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. milk

Cook above in double boiler until bubbles. Take from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla. In baking dish layer - 1) pudding; 2) vanilla wafers; 3) bananas. Do this three times, top with egg whites beaten. Add to the egg whites 1/4 cup sugar. Beat some more to whipped cream consistency. Spread on top. Bake at 350 degrees until brown.
