BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. bran
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. soft butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 lg. egg
1/4 c. molasses
1/3 c. raisins
1/3 c. dates, chopped

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line muffin pan with wax paper. Combine bran and buttermilk. Mix together flour, cinnamon, baking powder and soda and salt. Add all at once to bran/buttermilk mixture. Cream butter, sugars, eggs, and molasses. Blend into mixture and add raisins and dates. Fill cups 3/4 full and bake 20 to 25 minutes.
