HEARTY BEAN SOUP 
8 oz. Great Northern beans
28 oz. chicken broth
14 oz. diced canned tomatoes
1 c. diced green or red pepper
1/2 c. diced celery
1 c. diced turkey ham
2 c. fresh spinach, cleaned and destemmed
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. crushed garlic
1 c. diced onion

Soak beans overnight in water with baking soda. Pour off water and cook beans in 14 oz. broth until tender. Saute pepper, celery, onion, spinach, and turkey ham. Thicken remaining 14 oz. broth with flour. Combine all ingredients, add garlic and heat. DO NOT BOIL! Season to suit. Serves 6.
