FRUIT CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
3 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. each almond & vanilla
1 c. raisins
1 lb. mixed fruit
1 c. nuts
Blackberry brandy

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Mix dry ingredients and add alternately with milk and extracts. Add fruit and nuts. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2-2 hours, then lower to 300 degrees and test every 15 minutes. Brush with blackberry brandy. Cool. Wrap in foil. Freezes well.
