CHERRY DESSERT 
1 (1/4 lb.) pkg. soda crackers, crushed
1/2 c. butter
3 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 can cherry pie filling
1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip

Crush soda crackers; mix in butter and spread in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 12 minutes. Beat the egg whites until stiff, adding the sugar while beating. Put on top of cooled crust.

Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Cool. Spread pie filling over top of whites, then lastly spread with Cool Whip. Refrigerate.
