NEW YORK APPLE CRISP 
1ST STEP:

6 lg. Cortland or Johnathan apples
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. orange juice
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

2ND STEP:

1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. oatmeal
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
6 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. chopped nuts

For 1st Step: Peel apples, core, cut into quarters and then thinly slice into large bowl. Mix lemon and orange juices with the slices. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and mix well with apples and place these in large Corning Ware casserole or similar baking pan.

For 2nd Step: Combine all ingredients (except nuts) and cut in cold butter until mixture is crumbly. Then add nuts. Spread over apple slices evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
