BUTTERMILK FUDGE 
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. corn syrup
1 stick butter
1 c. nuts

Blend soda and buttermilk, stirring well. Pour sugar into large boiler. Add buttermilk mixture, corn syrup, and butter. Bring to a boil. Cook to 240 degrees on candy thermometer or to medium ball stage. Remove from heat; beat well. Stir in nuts. Pour candy into buttered candy dish or drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.
