APPLE KUCHEN 
1/2 c. butter, soft
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 c. flaked coconut (opt.)
20 oz. pie sliced apples, well drained without sugar or spice
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sour cream
2 egg yolks or 1 egg

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut butter into dry cake mix until crumbly, mix in coconut (optional). Pack mix lightly into ungreased oblong pan, 9 x 13 inches. Bend up edges slightly. Bake 10 minutes, arrange pie slices on warm crust. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle on apples. Blend sour cream and egg, drizzle over apples. Topping won't cover completely. Bake 25 minutes or until edges light brown. Do not over bake.
