APPLE CREAM CHEESE SUNDAE 
CRUST:

2 c. pecan dainties cookies, crushed
1/3 c. butter, melted

Combine ingredients and remove 1/2 cup for later. Spread in 10-inch quiche pan.

APPLE FILLING:

6 lg. Melba apples, pared, & cut up
1 c. water
2/3 c. honey
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 drops red food coloring

Mix apples, water, honey, and nutmeg. Cook until apples are soft, add cornstarch and red food coloring and mix well. Simmer until thick.

TOPPING:

2 pkgs. soft cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk

Combine and beat until smooth and creamy. Pour apple mixture on top of cookie crust; spread evenly. Spread topping mixture over apples.

GARNISH:

1/2 c. walnuts, finely chopped
1 tsp. cinnamon

Add walnuts and cinnamon to reserved crumb mixture. Sprinkle over apple layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. May be further topped with ice cream or cream. Serves 10 to 12.
