APPLESAUCE BEEF LOAF | |
1 c. soft bread crumbs 1/2 c. applesauce 2 tbsp. finely chopped onion 1 tsp. dried celery flakes 1 tsp. Dijon style mustard 1/2 tsp. salt Dash of pepper 1 slightly beaten egg 1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. applesauce 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 tsp. Dijon style mustard Combine bread crumbs, first 1/2 cup of applesauce; add onion, celery flakes and first 1 teaspoon mustard, salt, pepper, egg and ground beef; blend thoroughly. With a spoon make a depression in top of loaf. Combine second 1/2 cup applesauce, brown sugar, vinegar, second 1 teaspoon mustard; pour in depression in beef loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
