BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES 
12 cucumbers, sliced
4 onions, sliced
1/4 c. pickling salt
2 trays ice cubes

Mix 2 cups vinegar, 2 cups sugar, 1 tablespoon mustard seed, and 1 teaspoon turmeric and bring to boil. Add cucumbers and onions; bring to boil for 3 minutes. Put in hot jars and seal. Ready to eat in 3 days.
