Cream together:

1 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs

Sift together:

3 c. sifted plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Mix together:

1 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon

Mix flour and milk alternately into first ingredients. Grease pan with Crisco and dust with flour. Shake out excess flour.

Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes in 350 degree oven. (Do not preheat oven.)
