BAKED POTATOES SWEDISH STYLE 
8 med. peeled potatoes
1/2 stick butter
Salt
1/4 c. freshly grated Swiss or Parmesan cheese
2 to 3 tbsp. fine bread crumbs

1. Using a sharp knife, slice each potato in parallel slices, fairly thin, almost all the way through to look like tiny accordians.

2. Melt half of the butter in a shallow baking dish.

3. Roll the potatoes in the melted butter.

4. Sprinkle with salt and dot with remaining butter.

5. Place in preheated 450 degree oven for 20 minutes. Baste twice.

6. Sprinkle with cheese and crumbs.

7. Bake another 25 minutes without basting or until potatoes are tender when pierced.

8. Serve piping hot with any meat dish.
