OVERNIGHT BREAKFAST | |
10 slices firm bread 1/2 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese 2 2/3 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 6 eggs 1/4 c. melted butter 6 slices bacon Fry bacon until crisp, remove excess fat, crumble and set aside. Remove crusts from bread and cut into cubes. In a 7 x 11 x 2 inch pan alternate layers of bread cubes and cheese. Beat lightly together milk, salt, eggs and melted butter. Pour over bread and cheese trying to get the bread wet with mixture. Refrigerate covered overnight. In the AM sprinkle with cooked bacon. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes or until browned. NOTE: You can also use sausage (cooked and drained) or pieces of ham. |
