DATE-NUT BARS 
1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. oil
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. cake flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped dates
1 tsp. vanilla

Add sugar and oil to eggs. Blend well. Add sifted dry ingredients. Add nuts, dates and vanilla. Pour into greased 9x9 inch pan. Bake in slow 325 degree oven for 25 minutes. Cut in bars. Roll in confectioners' sugar. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
