WALNUT TARTS 
1 stick butter
1 (3 oz.) cream cheese
1 c. flour
1 c. chopped walnuts
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter

Cream together stick of butter and cream cheese. Then add flour and knead together until mixture is well mixed. Makes 24 little balls and refrigerate for 25 minutes.

Filling: Mix together the chopped walnuts, brown sugar, egg, vanilla and butter. Take pastry mixture out of refrigerator and put each ball into small cupcake/tart pans. Form a shell by pressing down and shaping up. Then put filling into each shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
