1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Wesson Oil
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. powder sugar
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg beaten

Cream shortening and sguar add egg. Drop on cookie sheet, dip bottom of glass in cold water then on sugar and press on cookie dough to flaten.

If needed let dough chill first. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
