1 c. flour, measured after sifting 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. sugar 2 tsp. baking powder 1 scant c. sweet milk Mix thoroughly, run through sieve, dissolve soda in mixture, mix in balls, turn on board, roll to 1/2 inch thick in thickness, cut in squares, cook 15 minutes. I cook in uncovered kettle, and turn once. These are delicious served with any stew or cooked in salted water and served hot with maple syrup. Sent in by Mrs. Wm. A. C. Miller (Amanda) |
