CHOCOLATE MARSHMALLOW PEANUT
BUTTER FUDGE

3 cups sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tbsp. butter
3/4 cup milk
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup marshmallow creme

Mix together the first 4 ingredients in a 3 quart saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil. Boil EXACTLY 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add marshmallow creme and peanut butter. Stir until melted and then pour into a buttered cookie sheet. Let cool. Cut.

The secret to making this "sweet treat" is to boil exactly 3 minutes. Use a timer. Over boiling results in hard brittle fudge; under boil and it must be eaten with a spoon.

This is a tasty fudge but didn't work for me. Boiling only 3 minutes did not melt the sugar and the fudge turned out grainy plus it didn't hold together and crumbled when I tried to cut in squares.

It needs to be actually boiling for three minutes. Not getting there or nearly there.

This recipe is my favorite fudge recipe. It's the recipe my mom always used and is my favorite out of all the fudge recipes. I like how it a tiny bit dryer than other recipes made with condensed milk. I also limit my boil time to 3 minutes total to get a softer fudge. But when I boil it 3 minutes father a rolling boil and it a bit flakey my husband like it better! Thank you for the reminder for the best fudge :)

Do you mean if you boil for 6 min it is dryer? My Mom's turned out a bit flaky and I have no clue what she did. This was her favorite recipe... and I love it as well.

This is SO good and SO easy... I just made it today and it was creamy, set up nice and SO yummy, flavors combined well together. I would love if anyone could give a different flavor using the basic recipe as is, but as far as chocolate/peanut butter fudge goes, this is hands down the best.

This recipe is wonderful and super easy!!! I have made is several times and am told it is the BEST fudge people have EVER had! I do start my 3 minutes right when it starts to boil if i wait til its a heavy boil it gets brittle. My grandmother used to make this the same way but used a method of dropping the fudge in water to see if it balled up but that never works for me always comes out brittle or doesn't sit up. You have the perfect method down thank you so much!

Am I correct when I say you do not stir while fudge is boiling?
