NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST | |
3 c. flour 1 1/4 c. shortening or 1 c. lard 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 egg, well beaten 5 tbsp. water 1 tsp. salt Cut shortening into flour and salt. Combine egg, vinegar, and water. Pour liquid into flour mixture, all at one time. Blend with a spoon just until all the flour is moistened. This is an easy crust to handle and can be re-rolled. Yields 2 crusts for 9 inch pie. |
