PEANUT BUTTER SQUARES | |
2 sticks butter, melted 1 3/4 c. finely crushed graham crackers 1 c. crunchy peanut butter 2 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits 2 tbsp. butter Combine melted butter and graham crackers, peanut butter and confectioners' sugar; mix thoroughly. Spread mixture in 9"x13" or 2 (8"x8") pans. In a double boiler, melt chocolate bits and 2 tablespoons of butter (makes it easier to spread). Spread mixture on top of graham cracker mixture. Refrigerate 15 minutes. Cut into squares and put back in refrigerator until firm. Important to cut squares right away but do not remove from pan until they are firm. Once firm, they can be stored at room temperature without melting. |
