HONEY BATTER ROLLS 
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1 tsp. salt
1 c. hot water (120-130 degrees)
1/3 c. Crisco shortening, melted
1/3 c. honey
1 egg

Combine 2 cups flour, yeast and salt in a mixer bowl. Add water, melted Crisco, honey and egg; beat for 2 minutes on medium speed until dough is smooth. Beat in remaining 1 cup flour with a spoon. cover with oiled waxed paper or plastic wrap; let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.

Fill greased muffin cups 1/2 full with batter. Cover; let rise until doubled (about 30 minutes). Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 2 dozen rolls.
