4 qts. popped popcorn
Place in paper bag.
Place in 1 1/2 quart glass bowl: 1 stick butter (1/2 c.) 1/4 c. white corn syrup 1/2 tsp. salt
Microwave on high until mixture comes to a boil. Stir and microwave 2 minutes, stirring between each mixture. Handle carefully to avoid burns. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
Carefully pour caramel mixture over popcorn in bag. Close bag and shake well. Microwave on high 1 1/2 minutes. Shake and microwave 1 1/2 minutes more. Open bag and cool, store in airtight container.
