PEGGY KAN'S SHRIMP BISQUE | |
So great my hubby begs for this dish. So New Orleans is my nickname for this wonderful bisque. 1 (12 oz.) pkg. cooked shrimp (I buy mine at Kroger) 4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter 1 clove garlic 5 green onions, chopped all-purpose flour (enough to make roux) 2 cups chicken broth 1 cup white wine 2 potatoes, peeled and diced 1 cup heavy cream salt and pepper, to taste Sauté your garlic with butter and onions. Make roux then pour in broth. Add a little water. Add wine, shrimp, potatoes and cream. Let cook for about 20 minutes. Add salt and pepper, if desired. So good! Submitted by: Peggy Kan |
