HOMEMADE BEEF STEW 
1 lb. ground beef
4 lg. carrots
4 lg. potatoes
2 stalks celery
1 lg. onion
1 box frozen peas
1 pkg. McCormick beef stew seasoning

Brown ground beef. Pour off grease. Add seasoning mix. Add hot water to fill 1/2 of large Dutch oven. To meat, add peeled and cut up potatoes and carrots. Slice celery and onion, add to potatoes. Simmer 30 minutes. Add peas. Cook until all vegetables pierce easily with a fork. (About 5 more minutes). Thicken with flour and water mixture. Use 1 cup cold water and 3 tablespoons flour. Serve with corn bread.
