SPINACH SALAD | |
2 lbs. fresh spinach, washed and broken in bite-size pieces 1 can bean sprouts, drained and rinsed (or fresh) 8 slices bacon, diced and fried crisp 3 hard boiled eggs, chopped 1 can water chestnuts, drained and sliced Dressing, below Fix spinach. Chill to crisp. Just before serving combine all ingredients. Toss with dressing. Serves 12-15. DRESSING: 1 c. salad oil 1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar 1/3 c. ketchup 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. vinegar 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp. minced onion Mix and refrigerate one day before serving. (Ryan, Jamie and Mollie, 1988-1992) |
