1 slice bread
1 egg
Soft or liquid butter

Spread both sides of bread with butter. Lay the bread on wax paper or plastic wrap. Using a small drinking glass cut a circle from the center of the bread. Place the "frame" on a heated skillet or griddle, then break the egg into the center.

Cook the round bread piece alongside. When golden brown turn them over to brown the other side. The yolk can be broken before turning, if desired.
