BEETS AND PINEAPPLE 
3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 can pineapple chunks
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 cans cut beets

Combine sugar, cornstarch and stir in the pineapple with its juice. Cook, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and bubbles. Add butter, lemon juice and beets. Cook over medium heat about 5 minutes or until hot. Serves 6.
