CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE WITH FLUFFY
COCOA FROSTING
 
CAKE:

3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cocoa
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 1/4 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar

FROSTING:

1/4 c. cocoa
4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. evaporated milk

Cake: Sift flour, baking powder, 1/2 cup cocoa and salt together. Cream 1 cup butter, shortening and granulated sugar together. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add flour mixture. Stir in teaspoon vanilla. Beat in milk until smooth. Bake at 325 degrees 1 hour 15 minutes.

Frosting: Mix cocoa and sugar; cream cocoa and sugar with butter. Blend in vanilla and milk to desired spreading consistency; adding milk if needed.
