SHORT BREAD DROPS (Cookies) 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 c. raisins, optional
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter and sugar; blend in egg yolk, vanilla and salt. Mix well. Stir in flour, raisins and nuts. Roll in small balls, slightly press down. Bake on greased sheet pan for 10-12 minutes at 400 degrees. Coat with powdered sugar if desired. Can use chocolate chips instead of raisins. Freezes well.
