1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar, granulated
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. peanut butter
3 c. sifted flour (plain or self-rising)

Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Stir in peanut butter. Sift flour into creamed mixture. Make round balls and flatten with a floured fork. Bake 350 degrees abut 10 minutes. Makes 5-6 dozen.

For richer cookies, use 2 cups flour. Kids Love These!
