CORNSTARCH CLAY | |
1/2 c. cornstarch 1 c. salt 3/4 c. cold water Mix salt and cornstarch and cold water in upper part of double boiler. Stir mixture constantly as it thickens into a solid mass, about the consistency of bread dough. At this point it is placed on aluminum foil or wax paper to cool, and then it is kneaded like dough. If it appears sticky, it needed a longer time over the heat, but it can be air-dried before wrapping. It is now ready for use, or it can be stored for several days if carefully wrapped. If it has been stored for several days it can be kneaded before using. |
