HUNGARIAN GOULASH | |
2 lbs. beef chuck, cut into 1 inch pieces 4 tbsp. oil 1 c. sliced onion 2 cloves garlic, minced 3/4 c. ketchup 3/8 c. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. brown sugar 2 1/2 tsp. paprika 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. mustard Dash red pepper 3 c. water 1. Brown meat in oil - add onions and garlic and brown. 2. Mix: ketchup, Worcestershire, mustard, vinegar, brown sugar, paprika, salt, red pepper and water; stir into meat. 3. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours or until tender. 4. Serve over noodles. Serves 5 to 6. |
