HUNGARIAN GOULASH | |
2 lbs. boneless beef (stew meat or chuck) 2 tbsp. oil 2 lg. onions 2-3 tbsp. paprika 2 med. tomatoes (optional) 1 lb. potatoes, diced Brown meat in kettle. Push meat aside and add onions. Saute until tender. Stir in paprika and cook 1 minute. Add enough water to cover meat. Cook slowly, covered, 1 hour. Add tomatoes and potatoes. Cook 30 minutes until thick. (A little water may need to be added during cooking. |
