RAISIN DOUGHNUT PUFFS 
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. sour cream
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
Dash of nutmeg
Dash of salt
1/2 c. golden raisins
Oil for deep frying
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
Powdered sugar

In a mixing bowl, beat egg. Gradually add sugar and beat until very light. Stir in sour cream. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Stir in the raisins. Add to egg mixture, stirring until smooth. Chill dough for 1 hour or more. Roll out on lightly floured board to 1/2" thickness. Cut with a round cutter, 1" to 1 1/2" in diameter. Make an "X" slash on top of each. Fry in hot oil at 375 degrees for 2 to 3 minutes. Dust with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
