STOLLEN 
2 beaten eggs
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1/2 c. butter
2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
6 to 8 c. flour
Optional: any candied fruit, dates, raisins or nuts.

Scald milk, add butter to milk to melt and let it cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add beaten eggs, sugar, and salt to milk and butter and yeast mixture. Gradually add flour and fruit and nuts. Add flour until the dough can be gently kneaded. Let dough rise in a greased bowl until double in size. Punch down and form the dough into 3 to 4 loaves. Place loaves on cookie sheets to rise again. Bake in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Cool the loaves and frost with powdered sugar frosting.
