PECAN SQUARE 
TOPPING:

2/3 c. melted butter
1/2 c. honey
3 tbsp. heavy cream
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 1/2 c. pecans, coarsely chopped

Melt butter and mix with honey, cream and brown sugar. Stir in pecans, coating them thoroughly. Spread over crust. Return to oven and bake for 25 minutes more. Cool completely before cutting into squares. Makes 6 squares.

CRUST:

2/3 c. confectioners' sugar
2 c. unbleached all-purpose flour
2 sticks butter, softened

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 12 inch baking pan. Sift sugar and flour together. Cut in butter until fine crumbs form. Pat crust into the prepared baking pan. Bake 20 minutes. Remove from oven.
