SAUSAGE STUFFED ONIONS 
8 med. size sweet onions
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. bulk sausage
1 1/2 c. water
1 stick butter
1 sm. sweet green pepper, halved, seeded and diced
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cornbread stuffing mix
Fresh basil leaves and sweet red pepper for garnish

Peel the onions and arrange in a large shallow microwave safe casserole dish. Add the 1/2 cup water to the casserole, sprinkle with salt.

Combine remaining ingredients and fill onion centers with mixture.

Cover the dish with heavy duty microwave safe plastic wrap. Microwave on full power for 12 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
