RED VELVET CAKE 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
1 tsp. vinegar
1 oz. red food coloring
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix ingredients in order given. Mix well. Bake in greased and floured pan for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

RED VELVET CAKE FROSTING:

1 box powdered sugar
1 stick butter, softened
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix ingredients in order given. Fold in nuts last.
