FREEZER PIE CRUST | |
3 lbs. Crisco shortening 5 lbs. flour (not self rising) 3 tbsp. salt 1/2 c. brown sugar 3 1/2 c. water In large pan, mix Crisco, flour and salt with hands. Stir brown sugar into small amount of water. Add to mixture. Add 3 1/2 cups water. More if needed to make a workable pastry. Form into 20 balls. Put on foil-lined cookie sheet and freeze. When frozen put in plastic bags. Return to freezer. To use let thaw overnight. |
