FRUIT SALAD WITH ICE CREAM
TOPPING
 
4 pears, cored
1 lg. melon wedge
1 can mandarin orange wedges
1/2 can pineapple
Green grapes (opt.)
2 pts. vanilla ice cream
1 c. fresh orange juice

Cut the pears and melon wedge in pieces and mix with the canned fruits.

Pour in a little of the syrup from the cans. Cover and let salad stand in refrigerator until chilled. Divide the ice cream into 8 dishes. Distribute fruit on top of ice cream.

Just before serving, pour on the fresh orange juice, sprinkle with finely slivered orange rind or coconut.
