GERMAN BISCUITS 
10 oz. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
8 oz. butter
3 oz. castor sugar

Knead all together. Put in cool place for 1 hour to firm. Roll out and cut in rounds. Put on greased baking tray and bake in moderate oven for 20 minutes until golden brown. Sandwich together with raspberry jam and ice on top with plain icing and a piece of cherry.
